With this petition, the gaming community hopes to convince Nintendo and the developers of Super Smash Bros Ultimate to include the main character 'Steve' from the hit video game Minecraft into the collection of playable characters in the game. Not only would this attract a larger audience to Smash, but it would also be a much-desired and well-respected addition to the game for players.

Many concept videos have been created already to spark ideas of what Steve's animations, moves and alts would be in the game. Here are some favourites.

Although there are some who oppose the addition of Steve to Smash, there are many benefits. Yes, Steve has no Nintendo history, but it is a chance for Nintendo to branch their relations with other gaming companies and create the ultimate collection of the most famous gaming faces. Besides, there have already been many non-Nintendo related characters added to Smash such as Bayonetta, Shadow the Hedgehog, Banjo & Kazooie and Pacman, just to name a few. There are also some who say that Steve as a character may encourage poor play as the toxic Minecraft community will flood into Smash. Every game has a bad part of its community and each individual knows that the entirety of the Minecraft community isn't one big sh*t pit. This will create more sales for Nintendo (stonks) and will create a more diverse community within Smash.

One day, I hope that this petition will grow large enough to influence Nintendo/Doug Bowser's thoughts and actions on this case and hopefully add the legend himself to SSBU.
