BoxBoy! is a series of puzzle platforming games published by Nintendo and developed by HAL Laboratory. The player assumes the role of Qbby, a square-shaped character who can produce boxes in order to help them overcome obstacles and solve various puzzles in the game. The series has produced three titles on the Nintendo 3DS with an upcoming fourth title on the Nintendo Switch entitled, Box Boy! + Box Girl!. On 2/2/17 an Amiibo figure of Qbby was released in Japan alongside the third game in the series, Bye-Bye Boxboy! Unfortunately, that figure has yet to see the light of day in the west and as of this petition, buying one from a re-seller will run you about $200+ at the lowest.

Why Nintendo never decided to release the figure here is unclear, especially since it was compatible with a wide arrange of other games. But the upcoming release of Box Boy! + Box Girl! gives them a golden opportunity to right this wrong by making a bundle that includes the game and the elusive Amiibo for fans to finally own without buying from greedy re-sellers. Even if Box Boy! + Box Girl! has no planned Amiibo functionality, it would still make for a great bundle that fans and collectors would no doubt buy in a flash. Fans like me get disappointed when we aren't able to own region-exclusive merchandise like that unless we pay ridiculous re-seller fees, so hopefully with your support Nintendo will listen and finally give us a way to own Qbby in figure form like Japan can after two years.
