In 2007, George "Boy George" O'Dowd falsely imprisoned and tortured a male escort in his apartment.
Mr O'Dowd also further threatened his victim with sexual assault and rape.
Two years later, Mr O'Dowd faced criminal sentencing - an insulting small jail time of fifteen months, only four of which he served before being released on probation for the remainder.
Mr O'Dowd has faced little to no repercussions for these disgusting actions in his professional life.
It has become time for us to let everyone know that we will not tolerate this deeply disturbing behaviour, and to let Nine Entertainment Co. know that we will not tolerate their continued employment of Mr O'Dowd.
We implore that Nine Entertainment Co. and its subsidiaries terminate Mr O'Dowd's employment, and cease their support of him.
