Save Odin and Yogi

Save Odin and Yogi
The issue
Our two beautiful huskies Odin and Yogi, who are 18 months old, unfortunately escaped from our yard, during the month of October, and attacked a sheep that subsequently passed away.
The council had clearly stated, from the onset of the incident, that a dangerous dog declaration was the only possible outcome.
After having Odin and Yogi assessed by a professional behaviourist, we received highly positive information, as he concluded that they were less aggressive than the average dog and thus should not be declared dangerous let alone destroyed.
Council was provided with the report from the behaviourist and despite their previous insistence that a dangerous dog declaration was the only option, council now wishes to destroy both dogs.
We understand the sheep was important to the owners, however it is less serious than attacking people of which our boys would never do. They mean the world to us and are fine around all our younger cousins and family members. They are highly social dogs and love going to all the local parks and beaches.
Unfortunately, this was just a terrible situation we could never have foreseen but are truly remorseful for. We believe the onus is on us as owners and that our dogs should not have to suffer and certainly not lose their lives over it.
If you could please sign the petition to help support Odin and Yogi and change the harsh and unreasonable decision of the council it would mean the world to us
Thank you.
