IMMEDIATE SOLUTION TO PHCN EXTORTION, POUND OF FLESH. CALLED FIX RATE
We compel the government of Nigeria to immediately, in a matter of urgency immediately suspend and remove the regime or system of Multi-Year Tariff Order (MYTO) which was introduce to the payment system of the PHCN. This in the first instance, is a daylight robbery on Nigeria. If truly PHCN has been privatized, it is a pound of flesh being dubiously cut off Nigerian flesh monthly. This is the main reason PHCN have not perform and it has been ineffective. Whether Nigeria are supply with electricity or not; it is a must for them to pay the fix rate. This has been the only reason those that purchase the power industry have retorted to laziness and turn a deaf ear to performance and efficiency.
Step that must be taken urgently:

1. The MITO N750 or N1,500 fix rate must be canceled out-rightly.

2. Within three or six month; the investor into the power industry must be compelled to distribute prepaid meter to the consumers.

3. After this period,any consumer they failed to install the prepaid meter in his or her premises; will continue to use power for free until they deem it necessary to install it for them.

4. After the period of time given to PHCN to distribute and install the prepaid meter elapse,estimated bill should be canceled out-rightly.

5. If estimated bill stopped; disconnection for non payment will not be necessary since the system will be “pay before use.”

6. PHCN will only realized that it can exist now; only by performance (work and eat)

7. Their workers who engage in corruption will no longer have a fill day; since every body will pay before service
8. This will real out corruption in every sphere, from costumers to PHCN staff.

9. This will discourage ineffectiveness, negligent and lack of maintenance; since revenue generated by PHCN will be based on performance, efficient and amount of power supplied to the customers.
ON THE CUSTOMER SIDE

10. Waste of energy will be curbed since bill paid will be based strictly on consumption. The culture of energy waste will be effectively controlled.

11 Consumers will imbibe the culture of power saving. Power that are currently been wasted will now be distributed to area were needed. The culture of people putting on security light in the day time will stop. Home appliance that are not needed will be short down or put off. This is the best way to sanitize this system, to make it efficient, to do with what we have for now and distribute it pending the time power generation is increased.
