Fur is Going Out of Fashion

Hi folks, Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to all who have signed and shared the petition - you have helped to push it to almost 1,500 signatures in a under a week. This will go some way to laying the ground work of a campaign to bring on the ban of the sale of all new real fur and feather (products) in Scotland. However, others are already several steps ahead - with San Francisco set to bring in a ban in the coming weeks, all going well. If this happens it would create quite a stir, hastening the not inconsiderable momentum growing for this movement across the world. Fur, in particular (more so than feather products) is becoming increasingly out of fashion with major brands, such as Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Armani and others joining the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren in ending the use of fur in their garments. I won't go on much more, except to say that I hope you continue to share this with friends . My hope is to use this petition, the comments and other engagements I've had with Organisations and individuals campaigning for this across the UK to build a solid case, backed up with facts and figures as well as the obvious, moral arguments in order to petition to Scottish Government through their own website and to encourage others to join; so thanks again for helping me build this into something that may have the potential to make an impact. Regards, Mark
