Dear friends, today is the day the kids of the late 90's and early 2000's cry. But they cry, not for the passing of one show, but for the death of the memories the show created. The memories that they made and kept with them to this day, for it was Dora Marquez that made us who joined her on her adventures who we are today.

How I agonize over how to thank her for them. Perhaps, with a chocolate cake for her and Boots. Or perhaps, a musical performance for her and her friends and family. But all that was dashed, by the money making behemoth that Viacom has become. Some of those poor, non-understanding individuals, who think that the best way to give Dora a "new life" is to make a movie that's many years too late. They, who think of only money and not the children who want to learn from our past, are too busy counting their dollars to even think about WHAT THE YOUNG AND OLD FANS THINK! But I digress.

The time for sorrow has past, and it is time to look to a future, filled with smiles. And we will be smiling again, as soon as we take our petition here, show it to the Viacom and Nickelodeon executives up there, and save the old show and all the others (both old and new) for all the children to enjoy forever EVERYWHERE.
