It seems that Nickelodeon is going to be returning to Netflix with a few exclusives for the platform. But I will also explain how it helps our cause.
First exclusive, Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling. The return of a classic Nicktoon for a new generation, which will feature Rocko traveling through time from 1993, or at least I think that's where the film starts originally, to the modern era, complete with smartphones. The special will arrive on Netflix on August 9th, after the distribution rights were sold to Netflix by Nickelodeon.
Second exclusive, The Loud House Movie. The feature film debut of The Loud Family, it was originally supposed to be released to theaters, but the plan was cancelled and it will be released on Netflix. But when is it coming out is the million dollar question, but unfortunately we have no answer, yet.
Last exclusive, Avatar. Supposedly, there is a remake of the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender coming to Netflix in the form of a live action series. The date of release is currently unknown, but we hope to gain more information about this remake of the adventures of Aang, the last Airbender and the last of the Air Nomads, in the future.
But how does all this fit in with our cause? Because I feel that where there are exclusives on Netflix from a company, there will also be the old shows as well. That is to say, if Rocko, Lincoln Loud and his family and best friend, and Avatar Aang are coming to Netflix, it can be hypothesized that the older shows, both Nick prime and Nick Jr, are soon to follow. Thusly, we must double our efforts to make sure that that happens. The more supporters we gather before November, which is when Disney leaves their spot on Netflix, the better chance we have at making sure Nickelodeon takes Disney's place on the streaming service.
