As you know, Nickelodeon has, since 1984, always had orange as its flagship color, with "slime green" as a temporary flagship color since 1979, when the name was changed from Pinwheel to Nickelodeon until 1984, when it became a secondary color. But what about Nick Jr? Nick Jr has always used orange and blue as its primary colors since 1988 when the programming block came into existence, and those colors are something that children, both young and old, haven't forgotten. But there are some exceptions of people who have forgotten what those colors stand for. They stand for entertainment for the young and young at heart, and they stand and fly as the colors a recognized symbol of excellence in children's entertainment and education, more commonly known as "edutainment". And so, we must take time to remember the 31 years of the Nick Jr colors this Memorial Day weekend. From the days of the programming block birth of Nick Jr, to the Channel expansion, and onward, we must hold the orange and blue flag high for all to see and rally behind.
