If there are any supporters out there who grew up on Nick Jr, and have Asian-Pacific heritage, than I think there is one character who might be worth meeting. Kai-Lan from Ni-Hao Kai-Lan. From what I remember, she has Chinese heritage, since she has a family (mainly a grandpa and great aunt) that can trace its origins back to China, a country in Asia. With that in mind, let us take a moment to remember how unique it was to see a character like Kai-Lan on our television screens, and how she helped and can help younger kids who have Chinese heritage learn more about the language, food, and vocabulary of China, be they old or young.
