Hourly sailings to and from the Sunshine Coast and preferred boarding for residents - instead of a 2.3 million dollar tourist plaza in Langdale.

BC Ferries is planning on spending 2.3 million dollars on a tourist plaza at the Langdale terminal to entertain tourists for a couple of months a year. They are also planning on building apartments for their employees to sleep. Us residents need hourly sailings, reduced fares and preferred boarding. We ask that the 2.3 million be used to improve services for the residents of the Sunshine Coast and not to entertain tourists for two months of the year and for worker accommodations. The residents and commuters of this community are the bread and butter of this run in the non-tourist season and are needs are more important than tourists or BC Ferries employees. This is our highway - not a circus carnival for entertaining people who don't live here or pay taxes here. Stop BC Ferries and the Sunshine Coast Regional District planning department from implementing this ridiculous plan and waste of money which could be used towards the Sunshine Coast residents needs.
