Pokemon Go: give parents control over under 13 blocked features.

Niantic, the makers of Pokemon Go have excluded their youngest fans of a long awaited feature for Pokemon Go. Avid players under the age of 13 are denied access to features such as friending other players, gifting those friends, and trading Pokemon.
I, as a parent, have enjoyed this game with my current 12 year old; however, we are extremely discouraged to hear that she is unable to participate in these features. Pokemon's catchphrase is Gotta Catch 'Em All. She is denied that opportunity as their are only Pokemon that are available through the gifting friends.
I am asking that Niantic provide a system where parents can control the level of access their child has in the game, similar to the one the Pokemon Trainer's Club has implemented for their online card trading game.
