We love Ingress. We are a big community a players around the world that was amazed by the concept of "get moving". It's a game that changed lives for many and full of real world stories. However, as great the game is, there is a big flaw in it. The game relies on a gps and a google account. And many players exploit the game by spoofing their position and having multiple "backpack accounts". This behavior has been increasing a lot in our local community, and many players are NOT OK with this. We feel that it's not fair that many people get to the field to play, investing long hours, and then a single player from the comfort of his couch to destroy everything. We believe that Niantic has the data to identify the patterns via software and disable this bad users (spoofers and "backpackers"). We believe that SW detection + local moderators chosen by the community could help to make this game as enjoyable as it was once.
