Today is World Cancer Day. Please everyone just take a minute to think of everyone you know that is effected or has been, or passed on due to this cruel disease.
we are now up to over 136,000 signatures and my petition will now be discussed in Parliament. I have a meeting with my local MP Simon Jupp of East Devon next week.

let’s get this through Parliament!! I know that cancer doesn’t care what age it effects you, I’m fighting to bring the age of the mammogram down to 45, I know it should be lower still but if this works it’s a start, and we can keep on fighting to try and get it lowered further! I know of a brave young lady that was under 30 when she found a lump and she didn’t qualify for the two week fast track referral to the breast clinic. The lump was bigger but still wasn’t fast tracked. She then went private and she did indeed have breast cancer and was given a mastectomy straight away, all this happened before she would have even been seen by the NHS breast care unit. She has two young children that may not have had a Mummy anymore. She also has a petition on this website and is called Rebecca. please get behind us and keep signing.
Due to the secondary cancer in my hip breaking I now have been left with one leg longer than the other, I’m still on and off crutches at the moment and I don’t know if I will be able to go to go back to my job I love as Cabin Crew that I have been for nearly26 years. I am in pain every day due to the treatment and my hip pain. This would have all been avoided if the Doctor I had seen first had referred me but more importantly if I had a mammogram at 45 it would have been detected at an early stage.
