Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has filed an appeal of his suspension for child abuse charges he faced earlier this year. Friday, Nov. 21 Peterson Appeal Hearing Date Set, Goodell Won't Decide Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that a date has been set for Adrian Peterson's appeal hearing, and that commissioner Roger Goodell won't be deciding on the appeal: Glazer notes that Goodell voluntarily gave up his right to hear the appeal. Goodell has the option of hearing it himself or handing it off. Breaking: Adrian Peterson's appeal hearing has been set for 12/2 and Harold Henderson, NOT Roger Goodell, will be the hearing officer. Henderson is a retired former member of NFL who ran management council.
