Greetings and Happy New Year to everyone!

One million people have shown their support for this petition and that’s beyond what I could have ever imagined for something I started as a joke. It’s crazy, but our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. Many an article have been written and published, the Mercedes-Bens Stadium tweeted a gif of the Band Geeks episode. The influence is out there. What a great way to end 2018.

Now entering 2019, a couple of things have crossed my mind:

1. How far am I going to let this go? Truly, I should have paid attention and cut it off at one million, but the petition still grows by the thousands every day. I don’t extend the goals myself, they’re automatically extended by the website.

2. Has the NFL noticed? I haven’t gotten any word from the NFL about a possible Halftime tribute, and to hold out hope isn’t the best option. For now, we can appreciate what recognition we’ve got.

With that being said, I hope everyone had a happy New Year—let 2019 be the year you thrive and shine brighter than before.
