The Issue
This is in order to protect the most vulnerable people in our community.
The current rates for Newry Swimming Pool, for communties such as the disabled, the unemployed and old age pensioners, are being increased by the following percentages to these astronomical prices:
Disabled Child- Previously £5.75, Currently £165, an increase of 2770%
Disabled Adult- Previously £11.45, Currently £165, an increase of 1341%
Old Age Pensioner- Previously£3.35, Currently £65 (for life), an increase of 1840%
Unemployed- Previously £90.10, Currently £165, an increase of 83%
