Following another racist incident taking place at Newcastle University, it is clear that there is an acceptance of overt racism on campus. Stand Up To Racism Society are demanding that the University takes decisive action in regards to dismantling this culture of racism and homophobia, and to take steps to prevent incidents like these from happening in the future.

We Demand the following:

·   That appropriate action is taken regarding all of those involved in the incident.

·   That the University and Students Union set up a public investigation into racism and homophobia on campus, and within societies.  

·   That a clear plan is set out by the University with how it aims to prevent these incidents from taking place in the future.
