Following an email to students on the 27th March 2020, we have learnt that the university is 'considering the safety net policy in light of OfS guidance, and the range of options available' with regards to mitigating exams. We are expected to find out in 2 weeks time what the mitigating policy is.

As Exeter, Edinburgh and most recently Southampton University have been able to implement these policies without difficulty, we expect Newcastle Uni to do so too, and considering over 3,000 people support this move, it is strongly recommended that the uni helps the students in the best way they can - through the safety net policy.
