This is a petition by Newcastle Conservatives in the aim of stopping Labour-run Newcastle City Council from scrapping our school crossing patrols, putting lollipop men and women out of work and school children at greater risk of an accident when going to and from school.

Lollipop men and women have provided parents with peace of mind that their children will be safe walking to and from school for a number of years. Doing away with this service will put children at risk and could lead to an increase in accidents on Newcastle’s roads.
