Hello everyone, Thank you to those of you who have continued to actively support the campaign over these many months, as I was finally able to be interviewed regarding the campaign and the matter of poor accessibility in Newcastle. This radio interview will be aired on BBC radio 2, however the release date has not yet been disclosed to my person. Therefore, I shall update you as to when the piece will air, and I have also requested for the final edited version of the audio recording, as this can be uploaded onto the campaign social media pages (links below). Thus allowing access to those of you who have signed the petition, to listen to what you've helped make possible. Regarding the topic of the meeting with the council: After recording the BBC Radio 2 piece, I contacted the head of the labour party for Newcastle council, Nick Forbes Cllr. After describing the extent of the issue, my concerns regarding poor accessibility, personal experiences and the need for a meeting with the appropriate department - Councillor Forbes referred this query to the head of the Transport and Air Quality Commission, and the Labour councillor for south Jesmond, Arlene Ainsley. Recently I have heard from Arlene's department regarding available dates for a meeting in which similar topics to those above shall be discussed. Thankfully, a date has been secured - which brings us closer to achieving potential change to accessibility in the city.
