We are now more than 26 weeks down the line and Newcastle City Council has still not issued a decision notice for outrageous plans for 1,2000 houses adjacent to Havannah Nature Reserve.

There are clearly some serious issues behind the scenes, and such lengthy and unexplained procrastination is testament to this.

We cannot launch our legal challenge until the decision notice is issued and we were led to believe this would finally be unveiled on 21st June, but there is still no sign of this elusive document, nor of any agreement being reached.

This extensive delay on behalf of the council and the Great Park Consortium invalidates previous allegations that our legal challenge has been responsible for delaying schools provision.
