We have submitted a corporate complaint to Newcastle City Council in relation to land in Cell B1 of Newcastle Great Park, which is proposed for use as school playing fields. This land is in the Green Belt and was allocated for nature conservation purposes when plans for the Sage and park and ride facilities were approved in Newcastle Great Park. We submitted a request for an enforcement case to be raised on 4th June 2017 to address this issue, but are yet to receive a response. Standards for enforcement complaints have not been met, which require that a complainant is contacted within 20 working days with a response. It is hoped our complaint will generate an appropriate response to the serious planning breach that appears to have taken place in Newcastle Great Park, ahead of further consideration of this application.
