Justice for Lou

The issue

On 3 September 2020, a dog (LouLou) was held down by her previous owner and shot through the head with an arrow.  She was found running through the streets of Gore, scared, confused and critically injured.

At the time, LouLou was also emaciated (approx. 15kg under weight), being starved by her previous owner for some considerable period of time before he shot her.

There has been minimal information given to Furever Homes from the police, apparently the offender has only been given some undisclosed community service.

Justice is supposed to be publicly visible to act as a deterrent for others.

If this case of cruelty has been investigated and processed through the Police & Justice services in secret it begs the questions. Why? Who is protecting whom?

We, the undersigned, request that the file is reopened and reviewed and the previous owner is charged under the Animal Welfare Act (1999), ALL weapons are removed from his possession and ALL animals are surrendered and he is forbidden from owning or possessing animals again.
