Nikau House is a well used critical mental health care facility in Nelson which is facing closure by the NMDHB - please see this stuff news article https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/121761675/proposal-to-close-longstanding-community-mental-health-facility-nikau-house-raises-concerns There is no other social and therapeutic service is nelson which provides professional staff led care and oversight geared towards the needs of those with major mental illness.
