New York City is a city built on immigrants. By keeping New York a sanctuary city, families won't be broken up. An immigrant's chance at a better life shouldn't be taken away from them. Our personal lives are effected by this threat. No one should have to go through the pain of losing a family member because of anti-immigration laws. We must protect the rights of immigrants in this city in order for NYC to thrive as a community.
