To the 16,189 people who signed and stood with Dream’s legacy over the years:
Thank you.
Thank you for believing Dream’s life mattered.
Thank you for standing beside our family through unimaginable grief.Thank you for helping transform pain into purpose, advocacy, healing, and movement.
Because of your support, Dream’s story did not end.
It expanded.
Since the original Dream’s Law petition, so much has changed.
What began as a fight for accountability and awareness has now grown into Dream’s Garden, officially known as the Ossining Community Garden of Dreams Legacy Center (OCGDLC), a 2.9 acre land based trauma recovery model for healing and restoration in Ossining, New York.
Today, Dream’s Garden serves as a space where healing justice, wellness, advocacy, youth engagement, horticultural therapy, storytelling, and collective care come together to restore what life has asked communities to carry.
This movement exists because people like you chose not to look away.
We invite you to learn more about Dream’s Garden and support the next chapter of Dream’s legacy:
And the advocacy continues.
On May 4, 2026, we gathered at the New York State Capitol to advocate for the Shepherd Patterson Notification Act, legislation inspired by Dream and Ms. Patterson, the teacher who recognized Dream was showing signs of a stroke in the classroom. The bill seeks to ensure families receive critical information regarding educational rights and services available to children navigating serious medical conditions and disabilities.

We also proudly introduced the Dream’s Caregiver Health and Wellness Act on the federal level in partnership with Congressman Mike Lawler, legislation focused on recognizing, supporting, and investing in caregivers across this country.
Because caregivers deserve care too.

Dream’s legacy continues to grow through every signature, every share, every conversation, every act of love, and every person willing to stand with us.
16,189 signatures became community.
Community became movement.
Movement became legacy.
And we are only getting started.
