On Thursday, June 30, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul signed bill A7710A into law. This new law will relate to the regulation of taking Horseshoe Crabs in New York State, including minimum and maximum size limits, open and closed seasons including lunar closures, and a prohibition on the harvest of crabs in the mating position. This positive action could not have occurred without the help of everyone who signed our petition on Change.org (over 32,000 people!) or sent emails/letters to government leaders, including the governor, in New York State.
