Unfortunately there was another accident at the intersection with four injured- one requiring an ALS ambulance. (Gardiner Fire/Ambulance, Shawangunk, New Paltz Rescue, Mobile life responded)

This is saddening- especially since these injuries/fatalities are unnecessary and preventable. Please keep the pressure on. I think it's time for Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan to hold a press briefing at this intersection to raise awareness and put pressure on the DOT via media outlets.

If you have the time please contact County Executive Patrick Ryan on Monday and let him know this needs to be a top priority. We need to continue putting pressure on the DOT. A letter is not enough given yet another accident. The traffic analysis done by the county clearly indicated the need for a traffic signal and put this intersection as the highest risk in the county.
