The maximum unemployment benefit of $405 per week has not increased In New York State since 1998 and a growing number of unemployed New Yorkers are finding it difficult to make ends meet at this current level.
New Jersey pays a maximum rate of $584 per week. Connecticut pays $537 per week. Massachusetts pays $625 per week. It's time that the great state of New York step up and take care of it's citizens, who are in need of the benefits, with a proper increase. Thank you.
