The Rockaway Ferry has become tremendously popular for Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn folks yearning for fresh air, a breeze and some awesome food and drink.  Yes, you can now travel from the Bronx and upper Manhattan to get the Rockaways.  There are transfer points throughout the ferry system.

The Rockaway Ferry has had a tremendously positive impact on businesses in the Rockaways, as well as soaring real estate values.

What started as a "rescue operation" after Superstorm Sandy has since EXPLODED as a popular way of travel to and from Manhattan; much safer than subway travel and certainly a much more pleasant. Our waterways have given the Rockaways a benefit that isn't new.  Ferry travel to the Rockaways started in the 1800's for the rich and famous. Now all have access.

Laura knew it. Laura pushed it and Laura, along with so many friends, supporters and organizers from the "Committee to Save the Rockaway Ferry"  selflessly and aggressively pushed hard and often.  Our elected officials jumped on board as well.  Not a small feat at all!  Summer business booms in Rockaway once again!  Thanks Laura!
