To add further salt into the wound, it has been made apparent that there will be no direct trains from Chelmsford to Shenfield and vice versa next week. This means pupils will need to go from Shenfield into Stratford in London and then get another train to Chelmsford. I have made enquiries to check what bus services will be put on by Abellio for the hundreds of children. A journey around 10 mins will now be over an hour if taking the train...

It is also unclear why these engineering works were not done during the school break...
