Around the world, shark nets are killing off our shark population greatly affecting our marine ecosystem as well as trapping other animals. These effects on our marine ecosystem will flow on to us humans causing massive negative change for our planet. But the most frustrating part is that the stats show us that these nets don't even work with reports saying that shark attack numbers have remained the same in areas where shark nets have been hung. Please sign our partition because we believe that there is a way to stop shark attacks but still save sharks using the 'Sharksafe Barrier'. This Barrier resembles kelp which sharks will not swim through and puts out an electromagnetic current in the water deterring the sharks even more, this keeps you and the sharks safe. But we need your help to get the NSW state government to replace the shark net with this new technology. it would really mean a lot to me and my peers as we really want to help the great white species and save our precious planet along with helping shark attacks decrease.
