At the begining of this project, New Orleans like most cities was struggling with their idolization of Confederate States of America and how such monuments be treated. In response, the City removed the Statues.

Most notably a New Orleans Landmark the statue of Robert E. Lee which was the centerpiece of Lee Circle. Before that it was called Tivoli Circle.

Many fans had suggested that Lee Circle would be the best place for Sisko. However, the Parks and Parkways Commission had already decided how to repurpose the area.
