A New Mexico rancher, Craig Thiessen, who trapped an endangered Mexican gray wolf and Brutally beat it with a shovel - brazenly disregarding the endangered status - said he plans to appeal the loss of his grazing permit. We request that this Rancher lose his right to graze his Private Property on Public Lands in perpetuity. He disregarded the laws that govern the land and violated a sacred trust. The Rancher demonstrates a gross disregard for the will of the public by undermining conservation efforts. In short - the behavior was sociopathic and this comportment should be punished with a permanent revocation of his permits to graze his personal livestock. There must be consequences for this brutal and illegal behavior. We urge you to consider the link between animal abuse and psychopathology. This Rancher has proven himself unfit. He does not deserve access to public land.
