Petition updateNew Jersey: Pass the Death with Dignity Act for terminally ill patients.
Tell your senator: Pass death with dignity in New Jersey
Delores LewisEast Brunswick, NJ, United States

I’m writing to ask for your help.
There’s only a week left until the end of the legislative session on January 11, and we need the New Jersey State Senate to vote to authorize medical aid in dying before then.
But we’ll only be able to push this important legislation over the finish line if advocates like you make your support known. Click the link below to send a letter to your senator and urge them to vote yes on the death-with-dignity bill.
If this vital legislation isn’t approved by the Senate before January 11, we’ll have to start our legislative efforts from scratch in the next session. That means more legislative hearings, another tough vote in the State Assembly, and more time for our opponents to try to undermine our work. So we’re pulling out all the stops to get a vote on the bill this week.
The bill would provide peace of mind and expanded end-of-life options to all mentally capable, terminally ill adults across the state. If passed by the legislature and signed by Gov. Christie, this legislation would make New Jersey the sixth state to authorize expanded end-of-life options.
To win, we’ll need to apply pressure to senators up until they take the vote. That’s why it’s imperative for you to write to your senator today.
We can’t allow the work we’ve done in the past year to go unfinished. Click the link below to send a letter to your senator:
