

Here is another report in the local newspaper. I hardly think being disappointed and frustrated amounts to 'slamming', but that is how I feel. It would be so easy for me to take a step back from this issue but if no one says anything, it will just drag on.
Someone commented that all of the authorities are strapped for cash right now - although the National Park Authority has been promised £440,000 for their wildlife efforts - but no one seems to be talking about how much it would cost the economy if the horses and cattle were not there as a tourist attraction and to do their work as conservation animals; the area would be soul-less too. Weirdly, the animals help most reasonable people to slow down and avoid vehicle on vehicle collisions - if there was no reason to go slow any more there would be far more human fatalities.
