Sadly there has already been a pony death on the New Forest this year - this one came on one of the three most dangerous roads on the Forest and happened just a day after the police had run one of their speed checks. How anyone can leave a pony injured in this way defeats me. 

I saw one of the members of the National Park Authority, NFDC and Verderers this week who told me that the last she had heard was that there was a meeting of the Feasibility Study Group (sorry, I haven't even been told what their proper name is) to be held in March (2023). She felt that the final sticking point would be money.
