I have just had a tiny bit of good news. The driver in Juma's case is definitely being prosecuted but for the offence of driving without due care and attention. Although the officer in the case is a very experienced road traffic officer and took measurements of the skid marks on the road, the speed at which the driver was travelling can only be his best estimate without greater forensic testing. As it is, the summons, and the statement of facts presented at court, may not mention the speed at which the police officer thought he was travelling. I cannot publish what I have been told. 

It will be some time before the court hearing.
