After just ten days, we have reached a phenomenal 50,000 + signatures and I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting this campaign. The petition is now closed. On Monday I shall submit the petition to the relevant authorities, our local MPs and the Prime Minister. Time is of the essence because ponies and other forest stock are being killed and injured week in and week out and we need that feasibility study to get underway as soon as possible. Hopefully this petition will put pressure on the relevant authorities as well as lending support to those authorities which have already indicated that they would like to see Average Speed Cameras on our worst roads. Sadly, this will not be an end to all collisions - there are hundreds of smaller roads across the New Forest - but it will reduce those that occur on these long straight B roads where people tend to speed. Goodnight Juma, we are trying. #rememberjuma
