#NewErarEstate threatened with eviction before Christmas

Nov 18, 2014 — Dear Supporters

We have bad news. As you already know, last week we won the first victory of our campaign when Benyon Estates relinquished their stake in the New Era Estate.

This meant that Westbrook Partners became the sole stakeholders. On Saturday we learnt that they are not intending to honour their word and will need the estate vacated to start refurbishment possibly in the next month, meaning that the 93 families on the estate could be homeless by Christmas.

Tomorrow morning we’re going to need your support and we’ll be sending you an urgent action - until then please watch and share this video of me and the other families explaining what this will mean for us:

Last night Mayor of London Boris Johnson said he “supports the tenants desire to stay if at all possible” and has instructed his staff to investigate our case.

We need to immediately show Westbrook the strength of support for our campaign - stay tuned for tomorrow’s action.

Thank you for your continued support,

Lindsey & Barry
