Dear Supporters Yesterday saw some quite fantastic gains in support for our campaign to keep rent at an affordable rate for residents of the New Era Estate, after the property consortium lead by Britain's richest MP Richard Benyon, bought a stake in the flats and declared the intention to hike rents to market levels - which would force long term resident families out of their homes. Thank you! We couldn't have done it without you. But this is just the start at there is much more to be done - and we need your continued support! Russell Brand has got behind us and there is now a growing interest in our campaign from the press. The next step is to turn the support shown here into a visible demonstration. Please come along to our demo tomorrow at 10.30 am. We will be meeting outside the shops on Whitmore Road N1 5QD. The aim is to show loud and clear that if the intention is to socially cleanse the New Era Estate then there will be strong opposition!
