Dear Supporters Growth of interest has been slow but steady and there is every reason to be optimistic. Thank you already to those who have signed and, have been spreading the word and keeping the hope alive for the New Era Estate. There is still a long way to go with this campaign, however we have every reason to be hopeful that across London and indeed the rest of the UK, the tide is beginning to turn against the social cleansing of people from their homes so businesses and investors can turn a profit, as more and more people wake up to this a reality that is affecting them or those they know. So please continue to share and to generate interest in this struggle: the Hackney private renters group Digs will be addressing the plight of New Era at their next meeting and what can be done. Andrea Luka Zimmerman; a former resident of the Haggerston estate, has made a film about the area, to premier at the Dalston Rio on Saturday 22 November at 2.30, which I would encourage all to go and see if they can. Finally, we can all draw strength and inspiration from the fantastic success of the E15 Mums, and their battle over in Newham. They have shown us what can be achieved when people come together.
