On Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:00 PM, the New Britain, CT Finance Committee will have a meeting regarding the status of the city's Christopher Columbus statue. They will be assessing the costs of possible removal of the statue, after which it would be directed back to the Common Council for a final vote. It is imperative that you join us in this call-in, especially if you live in the city of New Britain, in order to show support for Columbus.

Please help sway this vote in the following ways:

- Call the Common Council at 860-826-2392 and email the Chair at jessica.gerratana@newbritainct.gov.

- Call committee member Sharon Beloin-Saavedra, a swing vote, at 860-827-0136 or email at sharon.saavedra@newbritainct.gov.

- Contact Mayor Erin Stewart and demand a veto should it come to the common council for a final vote at 860-826-3300 or email at mayor@newbritainct.gov
