She is an associate professor of psychology at Colorado State University and she and her colleagues are raising a fairly small amount of funds to pay for a nationwide poll of adults in the US to assess the prevalence of what we are going through. They will publish the results in a peer-reviewed journal to ensure that the findings are made available to researchers, and will share their findings with policy makers and other influential people who can help address this problem more effectively.
