The Wokingham residents continue the fight against Network Rail and the newly installed whistle boards that I am sure you have now heard many times a day. We now have the full support of John Redwood who has written formally to the CEO of Network Rail.
We have also managed to get a meeting with Network Rail for residents to attend. This will be held on Monday 3 December at 6:15pm -7:30pm at Salvation Army Hall, Sturges Road, Wokingham RG40 2HD. This will be for residents to discuss with Network Rail representatives the underhand way this has been deployed and what alternatives can be used to stop this.
The agenda is as follows:
Why whistle boards - NR
Local feeling/views - Residents
Any mitigations - NR/residents
Next steps NR/residents
Mr Philip Lawman, a committee member of the Greater Langborough Residents Association (GLRA), has kindly offered to co-ordinate with residents who would like to attend the meeting. I urge you to attend the meeting, any questions please contact Mr Lawman at phillawman@hotmail.co.uk or mobile number 07836 553423.
Regards
Anita
