This was our first public appeal to free Martin, five months after his sudden removal from home due to the need for “urgent” medical and psychological testing of Martin that inexplicably could not be carried out in the presence of the parents, which was triggered by a neighbour’s concerns about closed curtains of a spare bedroom. Dutch forensic police, doctors and psychiatrists together found zero evidence of any abuse or neglect and instead found previously undiagnosed autistic traits. Formal psychological testing of Martin would inexplicably not start for another two months (based on a survey filled in by his carers), but also those results found no signs of emotional abuse, and only strong signs of autism with autism comorbidity. Fast forward another 18 months and several more experts have again documented autism only. Yet until today, Martin still has not been reunited with his parents, 25 months after his removal from home.
