Thanks for supporting our response to Leicester City Council!

Thank you for adding your name to our petition in response to Leicester City Council's Local Plan. We gathered 194 signatures - over 120 online, and over 80 in person, from residents who agree that the council's plan to build on green spaces across Netherhall is an inappropriate use of the space, and has been poorly consulted.

With the deadline for consulation looming, we have submitted our representation, and your voices will make it hard for us to be ignored.

In the coming days, we will be meeting with the Assistant Mayor for Housing, Elly Cutkelvin. We will be asking her:

•  ...to reduce the number of houses proposed for our area, considering brownfield sites.
• ...to ensure that any development takes place with full engagement of the local community.
• ...to ensure a reasonable quantity of any homes built are genuinely affordable.
