I'm really excited to be sending this update to all of you today - we've reached 500 signatures in just 5 days! I'm amazed with how much support this idea has gotten and I've really loved listening to all of your ideas.

I wanted to share more about the vision that I have for the possible tv series that Twilight could become. Of course, they could completely ignore what the fans want and butcher the entire series, but hopefully they listen to why we want this to happen so badly. 

We need more of the characters backstory! We need to see Carlisle's beginning of becoming a vampire, or him changing Edward. We could have an entire episode of Alice and Jasper meeting, or Jacob when he was first changing into a werewolf. I've heard from plenty of people, what else can really be done? But I think there's so much more to explore, that go far beyond just the love story of Bella and Edward.

Beyond this, the TV series could include so much more diversity that the movies really lacked. It could include more POC and black people,  different sexualities and genders! The cast could include actual indigenous people, and just overall reflect the diversity of the world. 

The universe of Twilight is addictive - and having another form to enjoy that addiction could honestly be dangerous. I do not see this as a replacement to the Twilight movies, those are timeless and will forever be enjoyed. But this will add more life to the story for the fans to appreciate, and will bring a whole new generation into the Twilight fandom.
