Netflix has enabled auto-preview for all of their netflix clients.

This feature plays a short video or trailer promoting the content you are reading about, without user intervention.

This feature, for most users, is very distracting, and detracts from the media experience.

Also concerning, the feature uses additional bandwidth which is a concern for those on mobile connections or with limited connections.  In Canada, for example, individuals do not have unlimited data options, or have to pay more for these options.

The feature needs to be controlled by the customer.  If they want previews, the customer can turn them on or off. Netflix could leave the default as on if they wished of course.
